Heavy traffic expected as 140,000 to descend on Great Yorkshire Showground

DRIVERS are being warned to expect heavy traffic as the Great Yorkshire Show opens this morning. Queues of vehicles have been building on roads leading to the showground with more traffic than usual on Wetherby Road, Hookstone Drive and the Harrogate bypass.  Gates open at 8am each day for the sell-out four-day event, which is billed as England’s premier agricultural event.
