Flood alerts in place in York and North Yorkshire as Storm Chandra hits the region

The Environment Agency (EA) updated its notice at 8.26am (January 27) for the River Ouse in the city, saying flooding is possible today for riverside footpaths and low-lying land including Queen’s Staith, King’s Staith and South Esplanade, and further south towards Naburn Lock.
