Church burglar joined Christian group while in prison, court hears

A burglar who repeatedly broke into a Harrogate church despite its staff changing its locks after his first raid has joined a Christian support network, York Crown Court heard. Drug addict Shane Betts pleaded guilty to burglaries and theft.
