Police chief stands by officer after MP claimed child welfare check was ‘intrusive’

A North Yorkshire Police chief has stood by an officer who a Kevin Hollinrake MP claimed showed a “serious failure of judgement” following an “intrusive” welfare check on a “law-abiding” family.
