Temperatures set to soar as York hosts two major events

THOUSANDS of racegoers are being invited to ditch their jackets and don their shorts as temperatures look set to soar this weekend. Organisers of the crowd-pulling York Dragon Boat Race which takes place on Sunday are also urging participants and spectators to be prepared with sun cream and plenty of water to stay hydrated.
