Celebrating 100 years of friendship at WI

In December 1924, George V was on the throne, Stanley Baldwin was Prime Minister, but most importantly on the evening of December 11, in the Old Grammar School, 45 women met in Thornton-le-Dale and voted to form a new Women’s Institute (WI).
